wow
from cs_lewis:

To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket--safe, dark, motionless, airless--it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The alternative to tragedy, or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside of Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell.

Re: THANKS!!
hahaha you so funny, sound so excited. i'm quite surprised myself that i'm actually somewhere near correct! haha... it was quite mean of them to throw such a tough tutorial at you all though. hope next time every lecture will be crystal clear for you lah, then you won't need to take pass/fail. :D

reminds me of "better to have loved and lost than not have loved at all"... though, seriously, at the moment, i can't really see how it's better. heh.

actually i do think it is better to have loved and lost.
don't really know why.

neither do i. sigh. when's the next bus coming?

I think I am in the midst of doing just that. While I am not to the final stage yet, I am certainly in the 'wrapping with hobbies and luxuries' phase, and have been for some time now.
