today, i learnt about "operant conditioning" in psycholinguistics class, exactly two days after yingni taught me about it, after she herself was taught about it in class this week. a very similar thing happened in the case of the term "dissonance" last semester. isn't it amazing, how knowledge seems so intertwined, despite the vast difference in the areas we're studying? or is it just "selective perception"? apparently design uses the terms "semantics", "pragmatics" and "syntax" as well. :)
