i sat for an hour on 65 with the kinda ache in my tum only one's grandaunt can grant before finally alighting a stop early for fear i'd overshoot. met up with zhenqi at wheelock. got my books at borders. can't believe one of 'em's got a bright red cover. it doesn't just look like a bloody romance, it is one. the only other edition available that doesn't look so horrendous is a whole eight bucks dearer. brown paper's much cheaper.
then we visited the epsite exhibition upstairs; didn't really think much of it, but we got lotsa free stuff and some free membership to some epson thingamy, which made zhenqi happy and the kiasu singaporean in me, extremely accomplished. we hit kino with the little bit of time we had left, couldn't find the exit to the 7 bus-stop, and when we eventually found it, 7 didn't stop there anymore, we had to walk down to ngee ann city, got zhenqi extremely hot and sweaty, and cabbed down to clementi, where i bluffed yingni we'd been there fifteen minutes already waiting for her.
96 to school. funny to be going to school when i haven't got school in the first place. trespassed zhenqi's studio, sat around outside macs trying to reformat yingni's thumbdrive waiting for shaowei's grand arrival. decided to visit the comp centre instead when we discovered the data in the thumbdrive had been corrupted or something. spied shaowei at the foot of the hill along the way, called him, he promptly tripped, wanted to make him climb the grassy slope up to join us, he was thankfully smarter than that. not so thankfully, he wasn't smart enough to solve the faulty thumbdrive problem with his not-so-helpful come-too-late suggestions. obviously what we learn at school these days is totally unpractical--computing student can get straight A(plusses)s and don't know how to use livejournal somemore. tsktsk. :p
the guy at the comp centre was somewhat unsympathetic, umchioed at poor yingni's predicament, reformatted the thing for her, wiping out all her un-backed-up data, didn't offer her tea, hanky, sweet, or any kind of comforting words or emotional support. (apparently, comp centre offers strictly it support.) yingni went near hysterical, not being used to such lack of service management or whatchacallit. headed back to macs to drown our sorrows in extra value meals. my second macs meal for today. very kind shaowei umm treated me to my meal. very kind of him indeed, hor, shaowei? *wink wink*
we hung around and well, appreciated the err vibrancy of nus life and uh people, speculated, as always, on shaowei's sexuality, heard some very *interesting* stories from him, traded ideas on how to say hello to your neighbour's umm best friend, and, as to be expected every time we gather somewhere to talk, jogged each other's memories on other people's past chou shis. heehee. note to reader: you might even be one of them. *evil grin* by the way, let me boast here--high praise from charismatic, paedophilic mr. sleepysnail (the hot stuff of primary school girls' dreams)--he says my journal's very interesting... even if you don't understand, you can *imagine*. hiak hiak. he also revealed that the sheer amount of maniacs and perverts secretly checking out his blog and "analysing his character" e.g. "kranji camp gay" and "sleepy girls" is the reason he's gonna blog less in future. so sad. migrate over here lah!
come six plus, yingni had to go back to reproduce her three-page write-up, shaowei had to go back say hello to his german buddy, and me and zhenqi had to go back to... whatever we were doing before today. we left shaowei opposite central, and then, this, i gotta apologise... i subsequently led yingni and later zhenqi, all the way to the library only to decide rbring was gonna take way too long, before finally heading for the terminal for 10.
the rest of the journey home was mostly smooth, uneventful and unexciting, so i won't go further in case kena complain this entry too damn long again. :p just wanna end by saying, upon request, i've changed my journal layout (again). i also added a real bio under the userinfo page. but that having been churned out in the middle of the night, and me being the obsessive compulsive perfectionist freak i am, i'll probably delete it soon.
oh, and i trimmed my hair, and when i asked zhenqi if she noticed anything different about it, she said i'd dyed my hair brown. 0_o oh yes, last thing--happy birthday to jarcheenta the lj, the pioneer of us all! four years old is a lot for a blog! so when's the great lj meet up? to end (really!)... lotsa not-so-school stuff to be done in the 'morrow. thanks, guys, for the fun today. too bad my mistress was missing and my husband's leaving soon. 'night for now!
