well, updates on yati's condition: apparently the doctors found what seems like a cyst in her ovary (or something like that). which sounds really bad. and they couldn't manage to invite a gynaecologist to come down to take a look at her, as the gynae can only make it in july. so yati's been discharged and will only have to go back for "further observation" sometime next month. may all be well.
and as all should probably know by now, SIA has been retrenching staff and such... my dad's colleagues from a nearby department/section/whatever have been offered retrenchment... many of which are sorta family friends. we know them, played with their kids, went fishing, went to their houses during chinese new year and christmas. and late last night, my dad got an sms from another colleague saying that seven in his department were given immediate retrenchment today. they're to leave the office by 5.30pm this evening and will be given $30 cabfare. sounds really scary... although chances of my dad actually getting it aren't too high, he says "nobody's indispensible to SIA"... hmmm. freaky.
so there's been pretty much excitement at home recently. and i gotta go shower before i leave for german. might be able to trick my dad into going with me. so... despite the current economic situation and the possible storm ahead, maybe we should cheer up and not sink too deep into depression yet. since yati's still fine and home already, and my dad's still employed, and the remaining luohans are still alive and thriving... :)
*edit* i said we shouldn't be sad, didn't say we ought not be angry. 'cos i'm currently damn pissed with my bloody sister who thinks it's very funny to peep at me typing my journal. one day i'll direct ALL my friends to HER journal. and we'll all have a fine time exploring it.
