the seal i bear on my brow

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. -- Galatians 2:20

Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim,
Till all the world adore His sacred Name.

O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree,
As Thou hast promised, draw the world to Thee.

listen to me

today was somewhat bittersweet. i remembered the great joy and celebration of palm sunday, and the very same people who denied him and called out for him to be crucified just a few days later. and i'm thinking that, had i been there, i'd have been one of those fickle-minded people too. it's sad that since the time of the book of isaiah, they'd been waiting for the messiah to come, and even up 'til today, they're still waiting for their promises to be fulfilled, yet when he had actually come, they denied him, they spat on him, they scourged him, and then they crucified him...

Jesus is so great! simply at his birth, he's fulfilled so many prophecies from the old testament! even at his death (and after), he was still fulfilling those prophecies! and even upon his death on the cross, when he said "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" he was still fulfilling prophesy! the whole of psalm 22 (which comes from the old testament) speaks about him, every single detail of his death! i am so convinced!

but be not mistaken, the death of my Lord and Saviour is by no means a failure, but a victory! woo hoo! easter sunday good news awaits!
